The “Group 24” political movement strongly condemns the terrorist attack that claimed more than 100 lives on March 22 this year at the Crocus City Hall complex near Moscow.
We express our sincere condolences to all the relatives, friends, and loved ones of the victims of this tragedy.
In the hours following the incident, Russian authorities named several Tajik citizens as suspects. However, the Tajikistan Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs soon stated that the named individuals were on the territory of Tajikistan and denied their involvement in the attack.
At this moment, the investigation is still ongoing, and we must avoid hasty conclusions and statements. Regardless, it is crucial not to focus on the nationality of the perpetrators and to avoid inciting ethnic hatred.
We are against war and violence! We are a peaceful political movement! Regardless of the nationality of these inhumane individuals, they should face the harshest punishment. The responsible parties and those who ordered the attack must be found and arrested as soon as possible.
We, people of different nationalities, have lived side by side in sorrow and joy for many years. Together, we have endured numerous wars and hardships.
We urge everyone not to see every Tajik as a criminal! A terrorist has no nationality!
In this holy month, we pray to the Almighty for the repose of every innocent soul. May the Almighty grant them a place in paradise!
