Do not interfere in politics! – Rakhmonov warned his citizens

At the end of September, Rakhmonov(The President of Tajikistan since 1994) made a working trip to the Rasht Valley, the details of this trip were widely covered by the state media. You look at such a plot and get the impression that Tajikistan is just a paradise on earth, and Rakhmonov is the most caring ruler. They show fertile lands, potato crops, local citizens in national costumes dancing in honor of an important guest and many, many national pastries. And on this all the achievements end as they planted potatoes and baked bread a hundred to two hundred years ago, and we continue to do so.

Rakhmonov opened several new buildings, brought one artificial breathing apparatus to the entire area and spoke with satisfaction to the residents of Lakhsh. He emphasized the attention of citizens that they have everything for happiness: fertile lands and water, as well as freedom. No one prevents them from going to the mosque, praying, fasting. And in a different tone, with a threat in the voice, the citizens were told literally the following:

“Do not interfere in the politics and work of the state! Otherwise, you will have to answer before the law! “In the open, Rakhmonov said that politics is only his prerogative, the fate of the state and future generations does not depend on the people. Any dissent will be brutally punished.

It turns out that the people should be a silent herd. We do not have the right to freedom of thought, to development, to an active civic position, to everything that defines a person as a Person. We cannot live and create freely in our country, we live in constant fear and most of us are afraid to admit it.

There will be no happy future for the country if we succumb to Rakhmonov’s threats and continue to silent watch him rob our country and destroy our culture, kill national pride and self-consciousness.
