Nasim Sharipov was transferred from the police station to a temporary detention center

Nasim Sharipov, a member of the political movement Group 24, was detained by Turkish security forces on December 30, 2021 at 13:00 in Istanbul.

His lawyer keeps in touch with him, monitors the progress of the case and tries to release him as soon as possible.

Recall that Nasim Sharipov has been living in Turkey since 2015, is an entrepreneur, and this is the third time he has been detained by Turkish Law enforcement agencies.

For the first time in 2018, he was detained in Istanbul together with the leader of the political movement Group-24, Sukhrob Zafar.  Subsequently, all charges were dropped, and Nasim Sharipov received political asylum in Turkey.

In March 2020, he was re-arrested and threatened with deportation, but his extradition to Tajikistan was canceled due to the timely intervention of a lawyer.  The court ruled in his favor, and Nasim Sharipov was supposed to receive the necessary documents in the coming days.

Now, for the third time, Nasim Sharipov has been arrested at the request of the Tajik authorities, which are trying to eliminate their political rivals and opponents.

The political movement “Group 24” calls on all international human rights organizations to contribute to the release of Nasimjon Sharipov in connection with the political motives of his arrest.
