The representative of the political movement “Group 24” Nasimjon Sharipov was detained today by the Turkish authorities in Istanbul.
During his arrest, he was at his workplace, and the police had taken him without any explanation to the police station. The lawyer of Nasimjon Sharipov was immediately aware of this incident and we hope, that the reason for his detention will become known soon.
It’s necessary to mention, that Nasimjon Sharipov received a residence permit in Turkey and lives legally.
We remind, that Nasimjon Sharipov and the leader of the “Group 24” Suhrob Zafar, were detained in Istanbul on March 19, 2018, at the request of the Tajik authorities. But the Istanbul’s court released Nasimjon Sharipov after 72 days, and Suhrob Zafar after 200 days of arrest.
