Today, there was held an extraordinary meeting of the political movement “Group 24” in Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany. This meeting was attended by Deputy head of the “Group 24” Hussein Ashurov, the representative of the “Group 24” for international relations Nuriddin Risoi, a spokesman of the group, Saidali Ashurov, activists Akmal Astanaev, Abuzar Khojazoda, Muhammad Kabirov, Salmon Kholikov and other activists and members of the Group 24 from different countries of Europe. During this meeting there were discussed various issues. The main attention was paid to the problem of detention of the head of “Group 24” Suhrob Zafar and Nasimjon Sharipov, as well as the done work in this direction. In addition, there were presented and discussed programs for further work on this issue.
To date, the activists of the “Group 24” have done a great job for the release of the head and other members of the political movement, who are in detention. They will continue to make their efforts to resolve as soon as possible the problem of the release of Suhrob Zafar and Nasimjon Sharipov. Today’s meeting was conducted in an excellent atmosphere. Responsible persons and members of the group have demonstrated their willingness in resolving the problems and implementation of plans for the future.
We remain, that the head of the “Group 24” Suhrob Zafar and a representative of the group in Turkey Nasimjon Sharipov were arrested on March 19th, this year by the Turkish law enforcement agencies at the request of the Tajikistani government and are still in detention in Istambul.
