On 25.04, the meeting of the Group 24’s delegation was held with the high-level representatives of the European Union regarding the foreign policy (European External Action Service – Central Asia Division) that is based in Brussels. In this meeting, regional representatives of Central Asia and key and influential people were present and there was the exchange of views between them.
During the conversation, the parties discussed crucial issues regarding Tajikistan, such as violation of human rights, chasing political activists in the country and outside of it, dirty political conditions, opaque elections, citizen’s freedom, pressure on and torture of dissenters and their relatives. In addition, during this conversation, the problem with restraining Suhrob Zafar, the leader of Group 24, and Nasimjon Sharipov has mentioned again. Responsible authorities were requested by personnel of the movement to investigate the incident as soon as possible and take steps to release them. In general, the assembly was held in a very good atmosphere. The parties deemed it to be necessary to continue organizing such face to face conversations.
